Divorce mediation is an alternative to fighting it out in court. Mediation is a non-adversarial approach to resolving the issues involved in dissolving a marriage. Mediation works best when the parties are able to work together amicably, with the assistance of a trained mediator, to reach agreements.
As a mediator, I meet with both parties and work as a neutral, objective facilitator to enable you and your spouse to reach agreements on all issues of your divorce. I prepare a written settlement agreement that details the terms of your negotiated agreement as well as all formsrequired by the Court. The role of the mediator is to provide each party with the information necessary to make informed decisions. As a mediator. I am a neutral third party who does not represent either party.
One of the many advantages of divorce mediation is that you are both involved in the decision making process. You retain control of your life, instead of leaving it up to the judge to make decisions for you. If you dissolve your marriage through the mediation process, you will not need to go to court. Mediation is less expensive than litigating the divorce in court.
Hourly consultation for review/preparation of documents, preparation of forms and review of pre-marital agreements is also available.
